“A library outranks any other one thing a community can do for its people. It is a never failing spring in the desert.”
– Andrew Carnegie

For over 120 years, the Houston Public Library hasĀ been the endless resource for children learning to read; entrepreneurs building their careers; researchers growing in understanding of our past and present; and a civic space for gathering, growing, learning and exploring who we are each meant to be–2.3 million Houstonians every year fall into these categories when they’re served at a library branch.

But the Houston Public Library cannot do this incredible work without YOUR support.

Any gift makes a significant impact in the life of the Houston Public Library. Through your generosity, you are ensuring that all Houstonians have the opportunity to grow and build better lives.
