We are delighted to announce the launch party for The Prologue Society for Young Professionals on October 23!
The Houston Public Library is one of those rare treasures–an institution that is designed to accompany each and every one of us throughout our lives and from generation to generation.
The Prologue Society allows young professionals (ages 22-40) to engage, promote, and support the work of the Houston Public Library by bringing their talents, experiences, and commitment to civic and cultural engagement to the forefront.
Members of The Prologue Society will be invited to special literary and cultural events, have a behind-the-scenes view on the Houston Public Library’s work, unique opportunities to volunteer in the community, and, most importantly, will be a part of a committed community of likeminded Houstonians who believe in the power of our public library system.
Young professionals interested in finding out more are invited to attend a free launch party and brand reveal of The Prologue Society on the evening of October 23, 2025 at the historic Julia Ideson Building! All that is required is pre-registration.
The Houston Public Library needs every interested Houstonian willing to lend their time, talent and support!
