  1. $12 Club The Houston Lyceum—the forerunner of the Houston Public Library—was established with $12. Join the $12 Club by making a monthly or annual commitment of an increment of $12 to support HPL!

  2. 1904 Society The library would not be able to provide many of the programs and services it offers without the leadership giving of those who support HPL each year at $1,000 or more.

  3. 1854 Legacy Giving Circle As the Founders of the Houston Lyceum laid the groundwork for HPL, so do legacy gifts for the future of the library system.

  4. Society for Special Collections The Houston Public Library is the steward of significant archives—from ancient Sumerian tablets to the letters of Sam Houston. The Society for Special Collections supports conservation, preservation, acquisition and education around HPL’s archives.

  5. Milsaps Society Major John E.T. Milsaps, of the Salvation Army, sent books back from around the world to assist in the growth and diversity of thought present in the early library’s collections. The Milsaps Society recognizes those who make major accessions to HPL.

Checks can be made payable to the Houston Public Library Foundation and mailed to the Houston Public Library Foundation, 550 McKinney St., Houston, TX 77002.

Houston Public Library Foundation also accepts gifts via credit card, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Credit card gifts can be made here.
